Bright, warm and quiet was the vibe for welcoming baby Chloe to the home of Schinella Photography. Although I don't currently have a photography studio to conduct Newborn Photography Sessions in, I may of made a slight exception for this gorgeous little brunette who had the thickest darkest most luscious head of hair I have ever seen on a Newborn.
My little man had no hair until after 12 months old, so this was a fresh concept for me and an artistic delight to be captured.
Baby Chloe and her family arrived into an airy light filled room, consisting of a freshly made bed with crisp white linen, the chilled out sounds of some gentle lounge music and a custom Newborn posing bag setup with plush white blankets and throws all ready to capture 'That Newborn Squish' we know and love.
I have honestly never photographed a more peaceful and happy little babe like this wee girl. I do think there are some really important key aspects to a successful Newborn Photoshoot. If you and your client are calm and relaxed baby will pickup on these vibes and will also feel at ease. Parents just BE in the moment, don't think about anything other than this precious new life you have created and hold them close to you, cuddle, kiss, hold their tiny fingers and watch them wrap around yours. Sit back while I capture every little detail from their cute button nose to pouty lips and even the back rolls. Soak up the little sounds they make and enjoy your Newborn bubble. Be prepared and organised anything can happen, 90 mins goes real quick when you are enjoying the moment.
This mama was feeling tired, lifeless, incredibly sore and just not feeling her best self. As a mum who has experienced all of these emotions I know its hard to just feel confident, beautiful and relaxed in front of a camera after just having had 7 layers of tissue disrupted plus a human removed from your body. However I hope one day this mother will look back on the memories we created with appreciation for herself and her body and realise how beautiful she was then, now and always. These are the memories we will want to look back on and show our little babes when they become curious about how they came into the world, how tiny they were and the sheer happiness they brought and changed our lives for the better. 90 mins of slight uncertainty can become your precious lifetime memories.
