Well what a treat this session was to shoot. I had no idea what to expect, as my client’s brother decided to surprise her with a Schinella Photography Gift Certificate for her birthday to celebrate her pregnancy with a beach Maternity Session in Adelaide. Having had no previous contact with my client I was a little nervous on what to expect.


I think it's really important when you are thinking of booking an Adelaide Maternity Photographer to document your pregnancy memories really do your research, look at the photographer's previous images and galleries and the quality of work they produce. Decide if they will tell your story the way you want it to be told in your images. After all you are most likely to display some of these memories in your home. These memories will last a lifetime so make sure you hire the right photographer who meets your expectations.


Meeting these two very calm and gentle humans was such a delight and made my job super easy! This is my favourite Maternity Session to date simply because it was just perfect. Let me see if I can describe it for you, think peaceful, quiet beach paradise.

It was a warm April evening in 2024 at Port Willunga Beach Adelaide. There was no more than about 15 people on the beach from memory. The wind was blowing in the right direction, we were blessed with calm waters and soft golden hour light glistening across her beautifully shaped baby bump. The delicate breeze blew her long cascading curls off her shoulder and away from her face. We took advantage of all the contrasting elements at this location, from the blue waters to the golden sun, wooden staircases, the deep orange hues in the cliff faces and the cool white sands hugging their toes, we even included the remains of the old broken down jetty sitting amongst the rocks as the water splashed over the tops.

Dressed on point in cool casual white linens, cottons and beige tones I think these two definitely got the memo on how to style for your session.


Capturing the connection between them was beautiful, you could absolutely feel the love in the air and how proud they were to be entering parenthood together so effortlessly.

I am so grateful to have documented such a precious memory for this family.
